Being a "special needs" bus, the floor is flat (no wheel wells exposed). This was accomplished at the factory by adding framing on top of the regular framing under the bus raising the platform. Special tracks run through the entire deck that can be used to secure the wheelchairs with special straps. This will come in handy when loading our belongings as I can secure the load very easily. By raising the platform, it gives the bus 4-5 inches of height and also increases the space under the bus. This may well be handy as well for fresh, gray & black water tanks if we keep it and convert it into an RV. There is also a pull out ramp located under the rear door. I believe this was in case of an emergency and the special needs children needed to be evacuated. This will also come in handy! The bus is also equipped with a wheel chair lift that will come in handy for loading heavy items. The bus is also equipped with front and back air conditioners. The coils/compressors are mounted under the bus.
